When does it take place?
The Christ our Future Celebration takes place at 12.00 noon on Saturday, 10th June 2000 – the Eve of Pentecost. (Doors open 11.00 am)

Where does it take place?
At the London Arena, in the heart of London’s Docklands, just across the river from the Millennium Dome. The Arena was opened in 1989 and is the Capital’s only purpose-built multi-purpose business and entertainment centre.

What’s going to happen?

The Archbishop of York will be presiding at a Solemn Eucharist, along with some 50 other bishops from around the world and 1,000 priests. We will be giving thanks for the faithfulness of Christian people through two thousand years and committing ourselves to the service of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Universal King, the Lord of Time and Eternity.

Are tickets on sale yet?
Yes, price £10, or £5 for Senior Citizens or young people under the age of 16 on the day of the event.

I want to be in the congregation: what should I do?
First, persuade all your friends to come to the Arena with you! Then – if you have a credit or debit card, you can ‘phone the London Arena Box Office on 0171 538 1212 and make your booking using a credit card. Alternatively, you can book by post, using the form in Forward plus.

I am a priest and I would like to concelebrate; what do I do?
All priests in sympathy with the aims of Forward in Faith are warmly invited to concelebrate; if you have VISA or Mastercard, just telephone 0171 976 0727 and we’ll be happy to take your booking over the ‘phone. Alternatively, please send a cheque for £10, payable to “Forward in Faith”, to Faith House, 7 Tufton Street, London SW1P 3QN.

Father all-powerful, creator of all things, judge of the living and the dead, you have raised our Lord Jesus Christ from death to life, resplendent in glory as the King of all the ages. Open our hearts to Christ who is our Future; free the whole world to rejoice in his peace, to glory in his justice, and to be made new in the power of his love, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
