The Novena for Christ our Future
From Ascension Day next year until Pentecost, churches, religious communities, all the Catholic Societies and individuals from all over our land will be linked in prayer in preparation for the Christ our Future Celebration at the London Arena. Each day, there will be special services to mark the Novena. Each diocese will mark one day as special to their area and this programme is shown below. This does not mean that things in your area can’t happen on other days, but we would ask you to let us know what is planned
We are setting these particular days aside in the year 2000AD as we enter the third millennium for the Christian Church to seek God’s blessing on the Eve of Pentecost’s “Christ our Future” celebration, to pray for those who have deserted their faith or who have never known it, to pray that the catholic faith may continue to grow and flourish in our church and that our own faith may be deepened so that we may bring others to see his glory and know his love.

Tuesday, 6th June, 2000 Derby, Leicester, Lincoln,, Oxford.
Wednesday, 7th June, 2000 Gloucester, Hereford, Worcester, Peterborough, St Albans. Thursday, 8th June, 2000 Canterbury, Norwich, Ely, Chelmsford, Rochester, St Edmundsbury & Ipswich .
Friday, 9th June, 2000 London, Southwark. The Novena is being co-ordinated by Forward in Faith member Harold Holwell – a member of the congregations of S.Michael’s, Maidstone and S.Alban’s, Holborn. Please ensure that your parish is marking the Novena in some tangible way and write to Harold at Faith House, giving details. In due course, a full list will appear in our sister publication, Forward! plus, showing what is happening all over the country during the Novena. Make sure that yours is not the parish missing!

The Congregation for Christ our Future
One-fifth of the tickets for Christ our Future have already been sold! Don’t be the one who misses out, after the last ticket has gone! Bookings for lay people (and priests who do not wish to concelebrate) to the London Arena on 0171 538 1212 for Credit Card payments, or by post to The Box Office, London Arena, Limeharbour, London E14 9TH. Tickets are £10 each or £5 for concessions.

National Assembly
The Sixth Forward in Faith National Assembly will take place this year on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October at the Emmanuel Centre, Marsham Street, London SW1. Details have been despatched to Registered Parishes and to Chairmen of Forward in Faith Diocesan Branches and, hopefully, they are all now taking steps to identify their delegates!
