Apologies to James Bradley, lately of S.Stephen’s House, Oxford, for a gremlin which crept into the list of ordination dates published here last month, as well as in Forward plus. James is not being ordained to the Diaconate on 1st September, but on Saturday, 4th September at 3.00 pm, at S .John the Baptist, Sevenoaks.

SACRED SYNODS
Clergy of our integrity should by now have received invitations to one of two Sacred Synods to be held next month.
Province of York
Thursday 23rd September, in SS .John & Barnabas, Belle Isle, Leeds
Province of Canterbury Friday 24th September, in the Emmanuel Centre, Marsham Street, London SW1.
Any clergy who have not received invitations, and who believe they should have done, should contact the Bishop of Beverley (for the Province of York) or the Bishop of Plymouth (for the Province of Canterbury).
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
Similarly, by now Forward in Faith Parishes and Diocesan Branches should have received full details and requests for Delegates’ names for the National Assembly, which takes place at the Emmanuel Centre on Friday, 15th and Saturday 16th October.
Again, anyone who hasn’t heard from us, and who believes that they should have done, should contact Colin Niblett at the Forward in Faith Office.
These three events are of incalculable importance to all of us following the General Synod in York last month. They should, by any estimate, take precedence over almost anything else! Please hold in your prayers all involved in arranging them and, of course, all who will attend them. ND
