Last month’s Forward in Faith National Assembly – the nineteenth! – the proceedings of which are
amply covered elsewhere in this issue of New DirecTions, passed the following four Resolutions, each of them nem. con.
2011/01
This Assembly calls upon the House of Bishops and the General Synod of the Church of England to exercise their powers to amend the draft Measure to permit the ordination of women as bishops in the manner of the Archbishops’ Amendment which will enable all those faithful men, women and children unable in conscience to receive this innovation to remain members of the Church of England.

2011/02
This Assembly thanks Fr Nicholas Turner for his six year tenure of the Editorship of New Directions and pays tribute to his great skill in bringing it through a most difficult period in its life. The Assembly also congratulates Fr Philip Corbett on his appointment as Editor and applauds the manner in which he has taken the magazine forward in his first few months at its helm.

2011/03
This Assembly calls upon all the members of Forward in Faith, lay and ordained, to do more to foster vocations to the Sacred Ministry and the Religious Life.

This Assembly warmly welcomes the formation of The Society and instructs the Council of Forward in Faith to do what it can to support it during this formative period.
