Colin Podmore introduces his new colleague

Following the advertisement in September’s NEW DIRECTIONS, David Oldroyd-Bolt has been appointed to the new part-time post of Administrative Assistant in the Forward in Faith office. Having undertaken many of the duties on a temporary basis since mid-June, he has now joined the permanent staff.

David is originally from Yorkshire and was educated at Heckmondwike Grammar School, then the University of Huddersfield, where he read Music. Following this, he spent time in Skopje, Macedonia, working on literary and musical projects with Macedonian and Roma children, and afterwards worked for Oxfam. Since moving to London nearly two years ago he has worked as a research assistant to a Q.C. and for St Andrew’s, Holborn Circus, on their restoration project. His recreations are reading, particularly history and politics; and performing classical music; and country sports. He has written for the Daily Telegraph and currently contributes to the Times Diary and

In addition to other responsibilities, David looks after

This a part-time post. David will normally be in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, but these days will vary a little, depending on what is happening in the office and on other commitments.

I am delighted to have David as a permanent colleague. He has already done a great deal to streamline our administration and get things up to date, and we look forward to the contribution that he will make to the life and work of Forward in Faith in the months and years to come. ND
